Abstract: This work investigates the microconstructions Será que,
Será se and Serasse, based on theoretical-methodological assumptions of Usage-Based
Models, by authors such as Bybee (2010, 2015), Traugott and Troudale (2013) Croft (2001)
Langacker (2013) Fauconnier and Turner (2002). It is hypothesized that such uses indicate a
process of linguistic change by which Will would be replacing Will, as well as leading to the
development of a modal value through the migration of the verb to be - lexical value - to a
discursive element, with dubious epistemic modal value, crystallized, among other elements,
by the futurity of the verb and by the chunking that occurred between the verb and the
pronoun se in the Serasse construction. This use, which is a phenomenon of current
synchrony and limited to informal situations of interaction, both in speech and writing, on
the internet, seems to be the result of a mixture of semantic domains of modality and
conditionality, with the discursive function of an intersubjective marker, or in other words, a
kind of modalizing construction. The aim is, therefore, to describe the uses of these microconstructions
in terms of syntactic and semantic-discursive factors, to promote an interpretative analysis of the change process, as well as to identify the contexts of the uses, in
order to characterize the use as a constructional change, or a constructionalization. The
corpus under analysis brings together data collected in the Portuguese Corpus and on social
networks

Título: O significado social do lambdacismo na fala de imigrantes haitianos em Aparecida de Goiânia - GO

Abstract: This research addresses the speech of Haitian immigrants in Aparecida de Goiânia-Goiás, focusing on the alternation of /r/ and /l/ in words such as 'brasileiro/blasileiro' and 'trabalho/tlabalho'. The general objective is to verify the correlation of this phenomenon with the cultural hybridization of immigrants in the process of acquisition of the Brazilian Portuguese (hereinafter PB). In addition, it is intended to reflect on the linguistic contact of BP with Haitian Creole in order to elucidate the phenomenon of lambdacism and to verify whether the Haitian immigrant in an interview situation behaves in a monitored manner to the point of not presenting the phenomenon of lambdacism studied in the BP's speech. In this way, it will be possible to reflect on the contact between the PB languages and Haitian Creole and its possible influence on the use of lambdacism by the speakers in question. As we can see through the following examples: “Tem muito haitiano imigrante, mesmo jeito comigo que molar aqui, tlanquilo” and “É calo [...] não é só no meu bairro não, acho que todo lugar no Blasil, hehehe”. The theoretical foundation is based on Sociolinguistics, supported by the studies of Eckert (2012), Labov (2008), Barreto; Massini-Cagliari (2020) and Costa (2006). The corpus on which this study is based consists of recordings collected from six adult Haitian immigrants, all male, members of a community of Christian practices, composed exclusively of Haitians, in the Expansul neighborhood. Semi-structured sociolinguistic interviews were conducted with Haitians belonging to a community of Christian practices in Aparecida de Goiânia-Goiás, in the metropolitan region of Goiânia. Prior to the recording of the interviews, participant observation was carried out in the community of practices under study, in order to weave ethnographic explanations about the non-standard variant. Then, at a later time, the interviews were recorded and the data were analyzed quantitatively. The occurrences extracted from the corpus were coded and submitted to statistical treatment in the GoldVarb X program, in order to ensure greater robustness and precision in the analysis of the results, and 1094 occurrences of the non-standard variant were computed in the speech of the Haitian participants. In the study, linguistic variables, preceding context of the rhotic in the syllable with consonants and vowels; structure of the syllabic attack and complex; presence or absence of another liquid segment in the word; sonority of the previous segment; syllable stress and syllable position with complex attack. As social or extralinguistic variables, we considered: length of stay in Aparecida de Goiânia-Goiás; desire to return to Haiti; proficiency in the Spanish language and age group. We found that the social meaning of lambdacismo in the speech of Haitian immigrants refers to their connection with their homeland, as well as the maintenance of habits that allude to their place of origin. It is intended that the results of the research can contribute to the debate about BP as a host language and to anti-racist linguistic beliefs and attitudes.

Abstract: Advertising can influence consumers not only in their decision to purchase products, but also
in the way they think, act and face prejudices. Through emotional appeals, presentation of
inspiring stories, humor, love and aspirations, advertising can impact people by making them reflect on the most diverse prejudices faced in our society, such as racism, gender diversity,
social differences, among others. Therefore, in this research we chose to analyze the
speeches of the Valentine's Day advertising campaigns of the company O Boticário. Our
theoretical foundation is based on Critical Discourse Analysis (Fairclough, 2016; Ramalho,
Resende and Melo, 2011), focusing on the genres of discourse in question (Bakhtin, 1997;
Fairclough, 2016; Marcuschi, 2002) and advertising analysis (Malanga, 1987 ; Sant'Anna,
2006; Santos, 2005), in an attempt to address the topic of social diversity, gender diversity,
gender performances and modern binarism (Bauman, 2000; Butler, 2003; Fairclough, 2016;
Louro, 1997, 2001, 2007; Paula, 2016). Our general objective is to analyze the speeches
regarding gender diversity in the Valentine's Day advertising campaigns of the cosmetics
company, O Boticário, in the years 2009, 2015 and 2022, with the aim of understanding how
issues related to gender diversity are addressed in these campaigns over time. Our research is
qualitative, as it seeks to understand, from these texts, more discursive aspects that
reverberate ideologies and trigger social behaviors. As for the methodology, we used Critical
Discourse Analysis to examine three advertising pieces covering the period from 2009 to
2022. Initially, we noticed that, in 2009, the company promoted traditional campaigns, that
is, it only showed couples within the binary norms, however, since 2015, their discourse in
relation to gender diversity has been transforming. However, we still see traces of
conservatism in these pieces. We hope that such analysis promotes pedagogical reflections
involving the consumer public, to show that one must have a critical look at the discourse
promoted by the advertising media.

Abstract: This research examines elements of history, memory and trauma as guiding principles for
analyzing the book Os Sertões , by Euclides da The work is divided into t hree parts:
the land, the man and the fight. It narrates the War of Canudos, one of the biggest conflicts
that occurred in the Brazilian backlands of Bahia between 1986 and 1987. Euclides portrays
the suffering of the Canudenses, by testifying and narratin g the events they experienced. In
this sequence, we will discuss the trauma and silencing of the victims, who witnessed that
fateful episode, from the impact that the Canudos War had on the witnesses, as well as
understanding how the author used the testim ony to reconstruct the events that were
recorded in the memory of those people. The methodology will be based on bibliographical
research and, to support these considerations, t heoretical support of Fabiana de Souza
Fredrigo and Ivan Lima Gomes (2020); Pau l Ricoeur (2007); Márcio Seligmann Silva (2003);
Maurice Halbwachs (1990); Aleida Assmann (2011); Marianne Hirsch (2012), Walnice
Nogueira Galvão (2009), José Carlos de Santana (2001), among others. Therefore, this
research, in addition to waging a fight a gainst forgetfulness and silencing, contributes to
ensuring that the massacre that occurred in Canudos is not silenced in the writing of history.
Thus, by uniting literary and scientific elements through historiographic narrative, Euclides
da Cunha promote s a sequence of denunciatory and critical clarifications, contextualizing
them to reproduce the genocide that occurred in the village of Canudos.
