Abstract: This work was carried out in order to analyze how power manifests itself in a given space in the city, considering the means and actions that were used to represent it. The space selected for the study of the locus of power was the Civic Square of Goiânia and, on it, we sought to know how it constitutes a space of power and political subversion, considering that this square occupies a unique representative place in history political, social and cultural city. As a result of this fact, the temporality chosen corresponds to the beginning of the construction of the square in the context of the construction of Goiânia, in 1933 until the year 2019, when the space was the target of requalification works. The problem was based on the following questions: what were the strategies used for the square to become the seat of power? How historically did it also constitute a place of resistance to power? And what are the interests and intentions inherent to the square? From this, the hypotheses that support the research concern the probability of being a space of power due to the influence of the strands of modern urbanism, followed by the author of the project; the environment of power is linked to the fact that Goiânia was conceived as a political strategy by Pedro Ludovico eixeira, a state interventionist at the time and, finally, popular demonstrations make Praça a social place of political resistance. The general objective was the analysis of Praça
Cívica as a space of power and political subversion, specifying three aspects: the process of
changing the capital of Goiás, the political manifestations and the requalification projects that
brought changes to this space. For an analysis of the previously established proposal, we initially sought to study the change in the capital of the state of Goiás, the influence of modernist urbanism in the construction of the new capital Goiânia, and how Praça Cívica was constituted in this context. Then, the square was analyzed as a whole, with the intention of seeking to know the main elements that are part of its structure, such as buildings and monuments. In the third and last part of the work, the study was carried out, aiming to analyze the different forms of uses and appropriations of the square, prioritizing the political manifestations that occurred in its space and, presenting at the end, a look at the square from the perspective of individual memory. As the work proposal refers to a theme that is investigated by several scientific fields, throughout the study we sought to dialogue with other areas of knowledge, such as Architecture, Art and Sociology, in the hope that the interdisciplinary dialogue can contribute to expand knowledge about the object of
study as an enriching practice.

Abstract: The constitution of the soy complex in Goiás is a historical process triggered by the global
“commoditization” movement of Glycine (L) Merr in the early 1970s. Based on this premise, this research sought to identify and systematize some historical conditions for the expansion of soybean frontier in Goiás, as well as their respective impacts on the configuration of the Planning Regions of Goiás in relation to the installed soybean complex. Our research suggests that commodity frontier soybeans were more induced in the Southwest Goiás Planning Region with 67% of its territory occupied by soybeans in 2019.
The same induced agronomic development process occurred with less intensity and more oriented towards grassroots projects of technological innovation in the Planning Regions of Southeast Goiás (Railway) and Surroundings of the Federal District, resulting in 65% and 44% of their respective territories occupied by the soybean crop in 2019. The analyzes also indicate as conditioning factors of this process: a) the commodity frontier of soybeans and a context of international division of agricultural frontiers; b) an extensive list of developmental policies aimed at inducing and maintaining agro-industrial complexes; c) R&D-oriented international cooperation. Finally, the research tested and validated the hypothesis that in
the commodity frontier of soybeans in Goiás, historically there was a phase oriented towards
agroindustrialization aimed at the European market, followed by a reorientation of the productive forces towards the insourcing of soybeans aimed at the Chinese market. Based on the analyzed results, this research still makes notes and raises hypotheses.

Abstract: This study is an extension of the course completion work presented at the end of the 2020 academic year at the State University of Goiás, under the title "Ademir Faleiros in
the Theater Scene of Anápolis: An Analysis of the Plays "Favela Brasil" and "Por Detrás de Toda Porta"". In this sense, the object of this dissertation is to study part of the playwright's life and work. Through the intrinsic relationship between history and literature, the aim is to understand the theatrical scene in Anápolis during the 1980s and 1990s. This includes highlighting the social, economic, and political aspects that marked the last decade of the Brazilian civil-military dictatorship, the influence of censorship and repression mechanisms on the development and presentation of the author's plays throughout the state of Goiás, as well as his dramaturgical writing. It also seeks to understand the role of engaged theater in a
city like Anápolis and the choir as an ideological agent in the staging of the play "Favela Brasil" (1980). It also examines the social function of theater at the time of the political opening and how the beginning of the country's re-democratization influenced the author's writing in plays such as "Por Detrás de Toda Porta" (1989). Finally, it highlights the relevance of the study for the historiography of Goiás theater, as well as Ademir Faleiros' legacy for the theater scene in the city of Anápolis.

Abstract: The Venezuelan issue is a factor close to the Brazilian reality,
both from geographic aspects, given the territorial proximity between Brazil and Venezuela, and
from historical and economic aspects, in which both countries are important components of global
capitalism. With the recent Venezuelan crisis, a large contingent of immigrants crossed Brazil’s
borders from 2018 onwards, a scenario in which the proximity between neighboring countries
became more evident. In this sense, the present work starts from the analysis of the economic
situation in Latin America, inserted in a global economic panorama, from the perspective of the Marxist Theory of Dependency, seeking to understand the impact of dependent capitalism on Venezuelan immigrants in Brazil. To this end, we seek, through bibliographical review and analysis of data and documents, published in official bodies, to understand the reality of the immigrant worker in the context of Latin American dependent capitalism.
